Why Oakland County homeowners call us first for fire damage cleanup
About an hour from your call to our arrival
A person answers our phone at any hour, every day of the year. Not a machine, and not a service that passes on a message. We work across Oakland County daily, so about an hour is the normal time from your call to a crew in your driveway. Fire damage keeps developing while a house sits empty. That is why we do not book you in for the morning.
We inspect for free and you sign nothing
Having us look over the property costs you nothing, and you are not committed to anything by having us out. We also will not name a final price at the front door. On a fire loss you cannot see the full extent until things are opened up and cleaned back. Soot pushes into cavities, ducts and the hidden faces of building materials. An exact total quoted before that point is invented.
What we take off your hands, and what stays with you
Filing the claim stays with you, because the policy is yours. The documentation does not. Photos, moisture readings and scope notes go to your carrier, and the same paperwork comes to you, so nothing about it is a mystery. We speak with the adjuster, and with the plumbers, electricians and other trades on the job, so you are not the middleman. If a claims specialist tells you a preferred vendor is required, it is not. Carriers sometimes cover less than the work came to as well, and we will show you exactly what we billed and why.
Based in the county, and long established
We are based in Rochester Hills, which puts us inside the county rather than driving in from somewhere else. Our founders worked in construction, contracting and cleaning for their whole careers before starting the business. On a fire job that background decides what gets saved. We look at framing, sheathing and subfloor, not only at the finished surfaces. We are straight about what cannot stay.
We know the county's housing, all of it
Oakland County is not one kind of house. The southern end holds twenties bungalows and postwar ranches on small lots. The middle is full of subdivision colonials from the seventies through the nineties. West and northwest the county runs to lake cottages that were added onto over the years, and Pontiac, the county seat, has Victorian era homes older than anything in the newer suburbs. Each of those reacts to fire and smoke differently. We read the house in front of us instead of applying one approach everywhere.

We found out we had a water leak from our bathroom tub when we brought our newborn home this past winter. It unfortunately needed to be a complete restoration which my husband and I had never gone through before. We were paired with Michelle as our project manager/overseer during this. I have nothing but amazing...

Our fire damage repair process in Oakland County, MI
Step 1. Your call reaches a person
You call, a person picks up, and we ask what happened and whether the building has been cleared. We tell you what to leave untouched until we arrive, and then we dispatch a crew to your address. Waiting for the adjuster to ring you back first only costs you time. Across Oakland County an hour is the normal arrival window.
Step 2. We walk the property with you at no cost
At the property, the first job is a walkthrough with you. It costs nothing and it commits you to nothing. We point out where the smoke has gone, which materials took heat and what we expect to find once things are opened up. Once you understand the scope, a signed work authorization lets the work begin.
Step 3. We board up and make the property safe
A burned building has to be closed up and made safe before anything else is worth doing. We board up openings, cover damaged roof sections and cut off services where that is needed. We identify anywhere that is not safe to enter and keep people out of it. Left open, the property takes on weather damage and worse while everyone waits.
Step 4. We clean the building and handle the water
Now we work on the building. We clean the structure and strip out what the heat has ruined. We also address the water the fire service put into the house while fighting the fire. That water is a mold problem in waiting, so it gets found and handled as part of this job rather than left for later. Equipment is cleaned and decontaminated before it goes into your property, and crews normally run between four and eight hours a day. We restore the structure only. Contents work is not ours, so belongings needing cleaning are referred to a firm that handles them.
Step 5. Documentation and your carrier
Documentation runs alongside the work, with photographs and notes from start to finish. We price against a current Xactimate list, the same source most carriers use, so the invoice can be checked against something real. We issue the invoice three to five business days after the job wraps up, payable in thirty days. On an open claim your carrier gets the documentation it needs, and we keep working with your adjuster. GreenSky financing is available.

“Our restoration project took several months to complete. If you’re going through an insurance claim, be patient, as the process itself can take time. Dandre, who inspected the damage, prepared the estimate, and worked with our insurance company, was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. Michelle, our project manager, was always responsive, caring, and worked hard to make sure everything was done right. The restoration work was completed by Leo and Augie, and they were outstanding. Leo replaced our tile, completed the plumbing work, repaired our closet organizer, and paid close attention to every detail. Augie did an excellent job painting. They were respectful, hardworking, and treated our home as if it were their own. Overall, although the process took time, the final result was excellent. Thank you, Dandre, Michelle, Leo, and Augie, for your professionalism, dedication, and quality work!”

Common questions about fire damage restoration in Oakland County, MI
Questions we get from our customers' and our answers.
Which parts of Oakland County do you cover?
All of it. We work the southern suburbs along the county line and the built up middle of the county. We also cover the lake communities and rural townships out to the north and west. Our base is in Rochester Hills, so most Oakland County addresses are a short run for us. If you are not certain your address falls inside our area, call and ask, because the line is answered at every hour of every day.
How quickly can a crew reach my address in Oakland County?
About an hour is what it usually takes, and our phone is answered at any hour of any day. That window holds up across most of the county because we are based inside it. The reason we push on speed is that fire damage does not pause. Soot stays airborne, settles on cool surfaces and begins to stain porous materials, so the first hours genuinely change what can be saved.
Do you restore the contents of an Oakland County home after a fire?
No. We restore the structure, which means the building, its surfaces, its framing and its finishes. Contents are a separate specialty with separate handling, and that is not a trade we are in. Rather than take on work we are not set up for, we refer that side to a company that does it properly. We will raise it during the walkthrough so you are not left wondering who to call.
How does billing work for a fire loss in Oakland County?
The documentation your claim needs goes to your insurance carrier, photos, moisture readings and scope notes, so your adjuster is not waiting on you to pass it along. The invoice comes to you, and your carrier sees the same figures. Charges are time and materials, priced from a current Xactimate list. The invoice is issued three to five business days after the work is finished, with thirty days to pay. Carriers do sometimes cover less than the work came to, and if that happens we will walk you through the detail line by line.
What should I do before your crew arrives at my Oakland County property?
Stay out until the fire service says the building is safe, and that comes before everything else. Leave the heating and cooling system switched off, because running it pulls soot into ducts and pushes it into rooms that are still clean. Do not start wiping down walls or ceilings, since dry soot smears into surfaces and makes the work harder. Take photographs of what you can see safely, and leave the rest for us to look at.
