Why Roseville homeowners call us first for fire damage cleanup
Inside an hour from your call
A person picks up our line at any hour of the day or night, every day of the year. No voicemail and no message held until morning. From the call we are normally at a Roseville address inside an hour. After a fire that hour matters, because smoke keeps moving through the house long after the flames are out.
A free walkthrough, no signature needed
We come out and go through the property alongside you, free of charge. You are not signing anything to get that. What we will not do is hand you a final number in the driveway. On a fire loss the real extent does not show itself until surfaces are opened up and cleaned, and anyone who quotes an exact figure before that is guessing.
Your adjuster gets the documentation
We document the loss for your insurance company with photos, moisture readings and scope notes, and we send you the same file so you can read every line. Filing the claim stays with you, because the policy is yours. We talk to your adjuster and to any other trade on the job. If someone tells you the claim requires one of their preferred vendors, that is not true. You choose who works on your house.
Local, and we have done this a long time
We work out of Rochester Hills, so Roseville is a short run for us and not an out of town job. Our founders spent their careers in construction, contracting and cleaning before they started this. That shows up in how we read a fire loss. We look at framing and subfloor, not only at what the walls look like.
We know the housing stock here
Roseville filled in fast after the war. Most of it is small brick ranches and bungalows built between the late forties and the mid sixties, and better than half the city's housing dates from those years. These are compact houses, averaging around a thousand square feet, sitting close together on tight lots. In a house that size there is nowhere for smoke to go but everywhere. A kitchen fire reaches the back bedrooms in minutes, and most of them sit over a full basement that pulls the smell down and holds it.

We found out we had a water leak from our bathroom tub when we brought our newborn home this past winter. It unfortunately needed to be a complete restoration which my husband and I had never gone through before. We were paired with Michelle as our project manager/overseer during this. I have nothing but amazing...

Same story as at least one other reviewer. Our ice maker water line started leaking and created a bigger mess than we realized. Our plumber recommended Response Flood & Fire for mitigation, and they were out the very next day drying out our kitchen floor and basement ceiling. Austin and Clayton were both amazing to...

Our fire damage repair process in Roseville, MI
Step 1. Someone picks up
Call at any hour and a person picks up, not a machine. We ask what burned, whether the fire service has cleared the building, and whether anyone is still inside. Then we tell you what to do until we get there. About an hour is the normal arrival time in Roseville.
Step 2. A free look at the damage
The first thing we do at the house is go through it with you. The walkthrough costs nothing and you sign nothing for it. We show you where the smoke traveled and which materials took the worst of it. You will hear the scope from us before any tool comes out of the truck.
Step 3. We secure the property
An open roof or a broken out window leaves the house exposed to weather and to anyone who wanders in. We board up and cover what needs it so the building is closed before we go further. We also make the work area safe to move through. Every piece of equipment we bring in is cleaned and decontaminated first.
Step 4. Structural cleaning, and the water
Our work is the building itself. Soot is acidic, and the longer it sits on a porous surface the deeper the staining goes, so cleaning starts early. Heat also drives the smell into materials, and some of them will not come back and have to go. The fire service left water behind as well, and wet framing and insulation are a second problem that we handle at the same time. A crew is usually there four to eight hours per site day. Contents fall outside what we do. If your belongings need cleaning we will point you to someone who does that work.
Step 5. Paperwork, and your carrier
We photograph and note the job the whole way through, so there is a record behind every line. We bill against a current Xactimate list, the standard most carriers work from. The invoice arrives three to five business days after the work is finished and is payable within thirty days, and financing through GreenSky is there if the timing is hard.

“Our restoration project took several months to complete. If you’re going through an insurance claim, be patient, as the process itself can take time. Dandre, who inspected the damage, prepared the estimate, and worked with our insurance company, was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. Michelle, our project manager, was always responsive, caring, and worked hard to make sure everything was done right. The restoration work was completed by Leo and Augie, and they were outstanding. Leo replaced our tile, completed the plumbing work, repaired our closet organizer, and paid close attention to every detail. Augie did an excellent job painting. They were respectful, hardworking, and treated our home as if it were their own. Overall, although the process took time, the final result was excellent. Thank you, Dandre, Michelle, Leo, and Augie, for your professionalism, dedication, and quality work!”

Common questions about fire damage restoration in Roseville, MI
Questions we get from our customers' and our answers.
How fast can you get to a Roseville address after a fire?
A person answers our line at any hour of the day or night, every day of the year, and we are normally in Roseville within the hour. Smoke does not stop working when the fire is out. It keeps moving through the house, and soot sitting on a surface starts to stain it. The sooner we are there, the more of the building we can clean instead of replace.
Should we wait for the adjuster before calling anyone in Roseville?
No, and waiting is one of the more expensive things you can do. Soot is acidic and it works into porous surfaces the whole time it sits, so a few days can be the difference between cleaning a wall and replacing it. Call us and we will start securing the building and documenting it. Your adjuster still sees everything, because we photograph the job from the first visit onward.
Our Roseville house is a fifties ranch. Why does the smell reach rooms the fire never touched?
Because smoke travels and heat pushes it into material. In a compact postwar ranch there is very little distance between the kitchen and the back bedrooms, and the smoke moves through that space in minutes. It also settles down into the basement, which most houses here have, and the basement holds the smell. That is why a room that looks untouched can still smell weeks later.
Do you handle our furniture and belongings after a Roseville fire?
No. We restore the structure, which means the framing, the walls, the floors and the surfaces of the building. Contents are not our trade, so cleaning, restoring or storing your belongings is not work we take on. If your things need that, we will point you to a company that does it. Being straight about that early saves you from finding out halfway through.
How does billing work on a Roseville fire loss?
Where a claim is open we document the loss and give your adjuster the paperwork the claim needs, and you get an invoice for the work. Filing the claim itself is yours to do, because it is your policy. Our rates come from a current Xactimate list, the same system most carriers price from. The invoice arrives three to five business days after the work is done, and you have thirty days to pay it. Financing through GreenSky is available if that helps.
