Same-Day Flood Cleanup

Free walkthrough • We deal with your adjuster • Financing available

Need flood cleanup in Southeast Michigan? We cover Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Wayne and Lapeer counties, and our line is answered 24 hours a day. Call and we are usually on site in about an hour, so the damage stops spreading.

Our Process

Our flood cleanup process

First we answer the call and get moving. Response is typically about an hour, and the walkthrough is free.

Then we scope it with you. We explain what we are seeing and what comes next before any work starts, and we build containment where the job needs it. Every piece of equipment is cleaned and decontaminated before it comes into your home.

From there we remove what has to come out and set air movers, dehumidifiers and HEPA air scrubbers. Most structures dry within two to four days, and we return every day to take moisture readings and adjust the equipment. The readings decide when the equipment leaves, not the calendar.

Finally we send the documentation. If you have filed a claim we invoice you and your carrier directly and stay in the conversation with your adjuster. Financing is available if you need it.

We found out we had a water leak from our bathroom tub when we brought our newborn home this past winter. It unfortunately needed to be a complete restoration which my husband and I had never gone through before. We were paired with Michelle as our project manager during this.

Same story as at least one other reviewer. Our ice maker water line started leaking and created a bigger mess than we realized. Our plumber recommended Response Flood & Fire for mitigation, and they were out the very next day drying out our kitchen floor and basement ceiling. Austin and Clayton were both amazing to...

Wonderful experience during such a stressful time. They came out immediately, the employees were extremely polite and respectful, and kept me updated every step of the way. They also helped guide me through the insurance claims process which seemed overwhelming at first. I would definitely recommend.

The water line to our ice maker burst and caused a huge mess. Once the plumber discovered where the leak was, he recommended Response Flood & Fire for mitigation. They responded FAST and had dryers going for the floor in our kitchen and basement. Austin was our Mitigation Project Manager, he and everyone on his...

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with this company. We had significant flooding after a plumbing repair job went wildly wrong over the weekend. Ryan and Mike did an excellent job, start to finish, in remediating the damage. They were very responsive, professional, and definitely know their...

Why us

Why homeowners call us first for flood cleanup

When you need flood cleanup, the clock matters more than anything else. Our line is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we are typically on site in about an hour.

We start with a free walkthrough. What we will not do is hand you a final number at the door, because until the wall is open nobody knows what is behind it. Restoration is peeling back an onion, and anyone who quotes you an exact figure before that has guessed.

Our founders came out of construction, contracting and cleaning, so we read what water and soot have done to the structure rather than only what shows on the surface. We document as we work and we give you what your carrier asks for.

Our restoration project took several months to complete. If you’re going through an insurance claim, be patient, as the process itself can take time. Dandre, who inspected the damage, prepared the estimate, and worked with our insurance company, was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. Michelle, our project manager, was always responsive, caring, and worked hard to make sure everything was done right. The restoration work was completed by Leo and Augie, and they were outstanding. Leo replaced our tile, completed the plumbing work, repaired our closet organizer, and paid close attention to every detail. Augie did an excellent job painting. They were respectful, hardworking, and treated our home as if it were their own. Overall, although the process took time, the final result was excellent. Thank you, Dandre, Michelle, Leo, and Augie, for your professionalism, dedication, and quality work!

FAQs

Common questions about flood cleanup

Questions we get from our customers' and our answers.

Do you handle flood cleanup across Southeast Michigan?

Yes. We cover Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Wayne and Lapeer counties. Our line is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Tell us what happened and we will talk you through what to do first.

How soon can someone get here?

Call the 24 hour line and we will get moving. Response is typically about an hour. Water and smoke cause more damage the longer they sit, so the sooner we hear from you, the more of the property we can save.

What should I do before anyone gets there?

Safety comes first. If water is standing near outlets or an electrical panel, stay out of that room. For a water loss, shut off the source if you can reach it. For fire and smoke, leave windows and the HVAC alone, because moving air spreads soot. Photograph everything before you move or throw out anything.

Will my insurance cover this?

That is your carrier's decision, and it comes down to your policy and your deductible. We walk you through the process and give you the documentation to hand your adjuster. Photograph the damage before anything gets cleaned up or hauled away, and keep a list of what was affected.

What does flood cleanup cost?

It depends on how much of the property is affected, how long the damage sat before it was found, and which materials are involved. We will not put a number on it without seeing it in person.
